When making a decision as to which to buy, also consider the GoFit and/or J Fit. The are made of Iron, coated in Vinyl, and about half the size. The handle is the same size as the Empower so don't be concerned about not being able to grip the KettleBell. The smaller ones are much easier to swing and manipulate.
That said, I purchased the 15 pound Empower KettleBell and it is exactly 15 pounds. At the same time, I purchased a 15 pound GoFit, but it actually weighs 14.8 pounds. I do prefer the GoFit because it is easier to grip (smaller diameter handle) and, as mentioned, it is at least half the size.
The DVD is actually pretty good.
